DEDICATION

I have a great deal of gratitude to so many people over the years who have been my teachers in life, who have encouraged and supported me in every step of my evolution and to those who encouraged me to share my grandmother’s wisdom and heritage in my book with Persian herbal remedies. I have to thank those women who came before Mamanjoon who were pioneers, in organic herbal medicine, as these recipes were passed down from one woman to another, through generations. I have so many people to thank for the birth and manifestation of this natural home remedies, book. First my Mamanjoon for being my wise generous grandmother, my mother who held dear her notes and recipes that constitute my natural home remedies book, and all the people in my life who were an inspiration in my creativity who encouraged me with love and last but not certainly least, and perhaps most important, Gratitude to God source Eternal. This book has been the work of three years in the making with many friends and strangers assisting me on my path of co-creation. These Persian herbal medicine recipes are a small part of Persian history, in a natural health remedies book that started with Abū Bakr Muhammad ibn Zakariyyā al-Rāzī (known outside of Iran as Al-Razi (854 CE – 925 CE). He was a Persian polymath, physician, alchemist, philosopher and important figure in the history of medicine. A comprehensive thinker, Razi made fundamental and enduring contributions to various fields, which he recorded as the best natural remedies in over 200 manuscripts, and is particularly remembered for numerous advances in medicine through his observations and discoveries. Al-Razi was said to be compassionate and devoted to the service of his patients, whether rich or poor. So I dedicate this book to Mamanjoon’s legacy, to all the people I love and to those many people who can benefit from the best natural remedies book, richly filled with her wisdom to reap and gain health and beauty.
